Getting a new laptop.

So, I've been playing around with animation in Flash for a long long time now. However, as most professional animators would agree, drawing with a mouse is near impossible, inconvinient, and unheard of in the animation business. So I thought about getting Wacom pad. The Bamboo line is cheap, but you're just drawing on a little surface.

Recently, I've come to the realization that I REALLY need a new laptop. I was looking around for a while when I found the following. It has a sturdy cpu for engineering apps, but can double as a tablet. The only thing is, if you're a hardcore engineer in the field, you'd get a laptop with a fucking stout processor, and little video features or gimmicks. On the other hand, if you're an animator, you'd get a Clintiq tablet that shows the actual screen, has extremely variable pressure sensitivity, etc, and wouldn't really care about how fast the processor in the desktop sitting in front of you was (to a certain extent, of course).

I submit to you the following:

A guy in my group had this thing, it was pretty convenient and innovative to create touch interfaces. It was pretty quick too, no lags or anything when running VB, Visio and Project at the same time. The guy worked at Costco, so they probably have a good price.
